What this site collects, and why. The short version: this site runs email signup forms for the Business Checkup and Library, and a support desk. It does not run advertising, sell data, or track you across the web.
Your email address, if you take the Business Checkup or join the list. It is used to send your Checkup and occasional notes about new Businessry titles. Every message carries an unsubscribe link.
Server logs. Hosting infrastructure records standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to keep the site secure and running.
Email. If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send.
Support tickets and attachments. The support desk receives the name, email address, subject, message and any files you submit, together with technical information used for security and troubleshooting. We use these to respond to your request and keep its conversation together. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or other sensitive information.
No advertising or cross-site tracking. No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties for their own marketing. Hosting and form services may use cookies and similar technology to deliver forms, protect the site and keep sessions working.

Where the GDPR applies, processing is based on your consent when you join the list, and on legitimate interest in operating and securing this site. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or writing to us.
FG Funnels / LeadConnector provides the main website, signup forms and email-list tools. HostGator hosts the HESK support desk and associated email infrastructure. Cloudflare Turnstile provides bot protection on the signup forms. These services process information as needed to provide their services, including hosting, delivery and security. Information may be processed outside your country.
Support tickets and attachments are kept for 24 months after the ticket is closed, then deleted.
Email-list data is kept until you unsubscribe. After that, only a minimal opt-out record (your email address and the fact of your unsubscribe) is kept so your choice is honored.
Server logs are kept for short operational periods by the hosting providers and then rotated.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using their unsubscribe link. Where applicable data-protection law gives you these rights, you may ask for access, correction, deletion or a copy of your information, or object to or restrict its use. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing, and complain to your local data-protection authority.
Send requests to [email protected]. Include the email address you used and enough detail to identify the request. We may ask for proportionate identity verification before disclosing or changing personal information. Please do not email identity documents unless requested through a suitable process.
